Terms

What you get, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Draft — not yet in force. The product terms below are accurate. The legal clauses (liability, warranty, governing law) are placeholders pending a lawyer’s review and our payment provider’s seller requirements. Do not treat this page as the final agreement.

What you are buying

A licence to use JotMic on the Macs you personally use. Pro is billed monthly or yearly and continues until you cancel. Lifetime is a single payment covering the same features for as long as the product exists.

The free tier

Free means transcription that runs on your own Mac, with no limit on how much you use it. It requires an account but no payment details. We may change what the paid tiers include; we will not start charging for what is free today without saying so first.

When a subscription ends

Cancelling stops the renewal and keeps hosted transcription working until the end of the period you have paid for. After that the app returns to the free tier — it keeps working, it just transcribes on your Mac again. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by our payment provider under its refund policy. If the app does not work for you, mail hello@jotmic.com and we will sort it out.

Acceptable use

Do not resell access, share one account across an organisation, or attempt to use the hosted transcription service other than through the app. Accounts doing so may be suspended.

Availability

Hosted transcription depends on a third-party speech provider and on your network. It will sometimes be unavailable. The free on-device tier is the fallback and does not depend on either.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, liability is limited to what you paid in the previous twelve months.
